Roving Gluten-Free Reporter Reviews GluteNull Bakery!

GluteNull
GluteNull is a dedicated gluten-free bakery business in Coquitlam, British Columbia.  Otari and his family started their business in 2011. Their products are verified non-GMO, vegan, as well as dairy and yeast-free. The sweets have natural sweeteners and are low in sugar content. The yeast-free breads are low in starch. With a celiac in our family, it’s a relief to find that Glutenull’s products are Certified Gluten-Free.

My family has tried Glutenull’s cookies, oat-free granola and the fruit and nut bars. Let’s start with the Buckwheat Chocolate Cookies cookies. These healthy cookies are made with buckwheat flour and dark chocolate. Great flavor, perfect for school lunches.

We really enjoyed the flavor of the Hemp Granola which contains prunes, dates, cranberries, walnuts and sunflower seeds. Their Sprouted Quinoa Granola was flavorful too, a great mix of quinoa, buckwheat, almonds, figs, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, flax and berries. The granolas were great mixed into yogurt or as a cereal. Without oats to add bulk, these granolas were full of fruit, seeds and nuts.

I was expecting a traditional soft texture in the Fruit and Nut Bars, but GluteNull’s version is a firm and dry bar. However, filled with nuts, fruit and buckwheat, it had a delicious flavor. And an advantage of the texture is that it will travel in lunchboxes without crumbling.

A plus for us was that these products were fresh-tasting and not overly sweet.

Glutenull products are popular. They are available in over 150 stores across Canada and in the western US. On Vancouver Island, find them at Thrifty FoodsLifestyle Markets on Douglas and Planet Organic.”
