Fond Farewell to Let's Eat Guilt Free in Nanaimo

All good things must come to an end but when the only dedicated gluten-free bakery in town shuts its door – it really hurts.

It is with profound regret that Rose Coutinho (and co-owner/sister Anete) have chosen to close Let’s Eat Guilt Free Bakery, Deli & Bistro in Nanaimo. Rose will be relocating to Vancouver to be closer to her daughter and newly-born grandchild.

Let’s Eat Guilt Free was a 100% gluten-free oasis that offered everything possible under the gluten-free sun. Locals enjoyed fresh and delicious baking made from carefully vetted ingredients made from recipes crafted with taste and texture in mind. Even dairy-free and nut-free allergies could be accommodated.

Let’s Eat Guilt Free supported the Mid-Island Group of the Canadian Celiac Association, not only with fabulous gluten-free cakes at their Annual Barbecue but with generation donations of sales during May Celiac Awareness Month.

Rose and Anete are inviting all of their friends to stop by and say goodbye. They will be staging a 45% off sale on all of their in-house baking starting Tuesday, November 15th to closing on Saturday, November 19th.
