Alkeme Sourdough – Perfect Gluten-Free Croutons
Alkeme Sourdough croutons are the perfect blend of flavor and crunch, adding an extra touch of excitement to your soups, salads – and turkey stuffing!
Preparing these delightful croutons is quick and easy. The best part is that you can use most of Alkeme’s products to make them, from breads to baguettes!
To create the croutons, simply cut your preferred Alkeme bread into small cubes. Toss the cubes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. If you want extra flavor, add garlic, onion, or herbs. For a spicy kick, try using jalapeño olive oil.
Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake them in a preheated oven at 400 degrees until they turn golden brown and crispy (approximately 5-8 minutes).
Once cooled, these homemade croutons can be stored in an airtight container for several days, offering a convenient and delicious addition to any salad. If they start to lose their crispiness, simply pop them back in the oven for a few minutes.
Alkeme is a family-owned, gluten-free, nut-free bakery dedicated to crafting wildly fermented sliced breads, buns, bagels & pizza crusts. Employing a centuries-old sourdough bread process, Alkeme’s products offer a hearty and wholesome texture, crunchy exterior and a soft, spongy interior.
