Family Business Association of Vancouver Island has honoured Pepper’s Foods by presenting the 2020 Family Business Excellence Award. The annual awards recognize youth leadership and promote achievements of Vancouver Island family businesses and their contributions to their communities. Pepper’s Food Store, helmed by second-generation owner Cory Davits, was founded in 1962 and has grown to be a full-service grocer.

Pepper Foods has been chosen as 2020’s Regional Winner of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers of the Year in the (Small Surface Category.) They went on to win bronze for best store in Canada with a total surface area of 15000 square feet or less.

Gyro Park & Beach at Cadboro Bay
The legendary home of the “Cadborosaurus” sea serpent, Cadboro Bay is a partially protected bay with the kind of long, sandy beaches that make for sublime summer swimming, strolling and boating. The park has a replica of the Cadborosaurus creature, said to be a relative of the Loch Ness Monster. Caddy, as it is known, usually allows itself to be seen once or twice a year. Cadboro Bay’s beaches are well-equipped for family outings with picnic facilities, public washrooms and a children’s playground. Pack a snack from Pepper’s and enjoy!

📣 Millstone Farm & Organics is calling on volunteers to decorate Gluten-Free Sugar Cookies in their dedicated Gluten-Free Farm Shop!

RSVP HERE! Canned goods or non-perishable items will be graciously accepted for the Mustard Seed.
The first batch of cookies will be handed out at the Greater Victoria Santa Claus Parade on November 26th, 2022.
The second batch will be added to the Mustard Seed Christmas Hampers which will be distributed mid-December.
Every attendee will be entered into a draw to win a set of Eco Cloths. There will be one draw per event date.
Seasonal gluten-free baked goods will be available for purchase and store shelves will be well stocked with freshly milled flours, All Purpose Flour, Pancake Mix and the GF spices. Millstone Farm is excited to welcome Sam Jones—founder of the island-born coffee roastery 2% Jazz. For over 25 years, Sam has been committed to sourcing, roasting and brewing exceptional craft coffee. Beginning as an outdoor kiosk in downtown Victoria, 2% Jazz has grown to become a community staple—renowned for the quality of its coffee and the warm and welcoming atmosphere of its indoor cafe.
On May 30th, join Millstone Farm for an evening all about coffee as Sam takes us on a journey from bean to brew. Learn how coffee is grown, sourced, roasted and brewed—and how to make the perfect cup at home!
After the presentation, enjoy a coffee tasting, a selection of gluten-free pastries and the musical ambiance of wes rd wraggett on Jazz Guitar! Coffee beans will be available for purchase, packaged and in bulk, along with Miron glass jars for storing the beans in maximum freshness and shelf life.

The legendary home of the “Cadborosaurus” sea serpent, Cadboro Bay is a partially protected bay with the kind of long, sandy beaches that make for sublime summer swimming, strolling and boating. The park has a replica of the Cadborosaurus creature, said to be a relative of the Loch Ness Monster. Caddy, as it is known, usually allows itself to be seen once or twice a year. Gyro Park & Beach at Cadboro Bay
The legendary home of the “Cadborosaurus” sea serpent, Cadboro Bay is a partially protected bay with the kind of long, sandy beaches that make for sublime summer swimming, strolling and boating. The park has a replica of the Cadborosaurus creature, said to be a relative of the Loch Ness Monster. Caddy, as it is known, usually allows itself to be seen once or twice a year. Cadboro Bay’s beaches are well-equipped for family outings with picnic facilities, public washrooms and a children’s playground. Pack a snack from Pepper’s and enjoy!
