Pepper’s Foods is the Heart of Cadboro Bay’s Christmas Festivities!
Sea of Lights! This year’s annual Royal Yacht Club’s floating parade of decorated boats will be happening on Friday December 6th. The beach at Gyro Park is a prime viewing spot with boats passing by about 7:45pm! A beautiful event of lights reflecting over the water, it truly inspires the inspires the magic of the season! Best of all, it is family friendly and FREE! The 12th Gary Oak Sea Scouts will be there giving giving out hot chocolate to the kids and Cadboro Bay Starbucks will one again have a tent set up on the beach to hand out hot coffee all by donation of either cash or non-perishable foods to support the Salvation Army Food Bank. We suggest you dress warmly as the wind coming off the water can get pretty chilly! And remember to bring a flash light or lantern as Gyro Park does not have lighting along the beach.
Caroling in the Village! Sunday, December 7th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Featuring live performances by the Mount Douglas Secondary Jazz Band and Choir, Louise Rose and the Open Door Choir, and Julia Morgan -Mezzo Soprano. All your favourite holiday treats and beverages will be offered by donation with proceeds going to support Mount Doug’s music program as well as Our Place Society. And don’t forget to pick up your raffle tickets for just $2 to enter to win a gift basket full of items from the merchants of Cadboro Bay Village or enter the annual Pepper’s Foods Turkey Draw! This year’s event is going to be better than ever!

Gyro Park & Beach at Cadboro Bay
The legendary home of the “Cadborosaurus” sea serpent, Cadboro Bay is a partially protected bay with the kind of long, sandy beaches that make for sublime summer swimming, strolling and boating. The park has a replica of the Cadborosaurus creature, said to be a relative of the Loch Ness Monster. Caddy, as it is known, usually allows itself to be seen once or twice a year. Cadboro Bay’s beaches are well-equipped for family outings with picnic facilities, public washrooms and a children’s playground. Pack a snack from Pepper’s and enjoy!
