“Everything (except 1 starter – I think it’s spring rolls) can be made gluten free and it is all sooooo good. My partner and I have eaten everything they offer and it’s all delicious. He is not GF but loves it all just the same. I have never had any attacks or any negative effects from eating their food. Our favourite is the curry noodle dish – very unique to Thai food as we’ve never had it at any other Thai place (and we’ve been to Thailand as well). Really authentic and special food.”

Aastha Devotional Indian Restaurant – A truly social experience and that extends beyond the fantastic shared dining menu into the relaxed, warm environment of the venue itself.
“As you know, almost all Indian food is or can be made GF. I love their pakoras as it is deep-fried food that we Celiacs can eat! All of the pakoras are delicious and the sauces they make are what seals the deal for us (the best one is the mint one – so refreshing!) [NOTE – deep fryer is shared with gluten items.] My partner gets the naan bread and they always keep it separate and I have never gotten sick from eating their food, either at home or in the restaurant (Pre-Covid). There are lots of Indian places but this one has the best sauces of the places in the Duncan area.”

Made in Mexico Restaurant – Made Fresh! Made to Go!
“This one is new! They opened in June or July of this summer (in the middle of Covid) and we decided to try after asking about gluten free options. As they make authentic Mexican food, almost everything is GF or can be made GF. They hand-make all their corn tortillas! We have only eaten there twice but each time it was delicious. They also prepare everything for you to then take home and pop in the oven to cook for yourself! It’s great for meal prep. They put all the sides and extras in their own containers and write the instructions on the lids of how to prepare so anyone could do it. It’s a really good option for Covid times to keep getting traditional, delicious food without having to dine-in in restaurants.”
